GIVEAWAY WINNER - Missy Wright-Scroggins wins $500 to Razny Jewelers at Love Is Love!

Meet Missy, the winner of our $500 Razny Jewelers gift certificate give away at the Love Is Love event, celebrating marriage equality in Illinois! Missy Wright-Scroggins joined Blue Plate Catering in April of 2011 as a Social and Corporate Sales Director. A lifelong Chicagoan, Missy grew up in the Beverly neighborhood and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Missy thrives as part of the talented Blue Plate sales team because she genuinely enjoys working with her clients to imagine their event - and then to bring it to life. An avid traveler and lover of food and culture, Missy loves to tap into her own passions to help create engaging wedding experiences, bringing happiness to people at one of the most important points in their lives. 

The amazing Love is Love event, hosted by Stand Up and benefiting Equality Illinois, was a gorgeous celebration highlighting the one-year anniversary of the legalization of marriage equality in Illinois! Missy and her team at Blue Plate are avid supporters of the cause. She says:

"We have catered Civil Unions for decades and are so happy that people who have wanted to get married now can! One highlight from this year was working with two amazing women who had been together for over 25 years! They had raised two fantastic children and committed to each other in every sense possible. They were getting married because they wanted to -- and they CAN!

"My favorite part of the Love is Love event -- I have so many favorite parts! Love was in the air! It was so great to see so many of my peers supporting and celebrating, dialoguing, keeping the momentum going. Seeing the best in the industry and honoring progress together is remarkable!"
